Expectations
This year the East Kootenay Regional Science Fair has gone completely "online." All registration is to be done through our online system. If you need help registering your students, please check out this document OR email darcy.verbeurgt@sd5.bc.ca. Don't worry! Registering students has been made much simpler!
Teachers whose entire class is registering projects are asked to attend on fair day as Supervisors of their students. We ask that each class/school provide supervision that is at least 10:1. Fair volunteers are on hand to assist, but nothing replaces the classroom teacher.
Teachers are welcome to bring their class to visit the fair. For more information on times and booking please download this flyer. Booking is done through Darcy Verbeurgt at the Cranbrook Board Office 250-417-2089 and is available on a first come first serve basis.
Finally, we ask that as a school, you collect the SIGNED signature forms (parental consent forms) as well as the Registration Fee of $15 per child. Send this form as a package to the Science Fair Office @ COTR or to Darcy Verbeurgt @ the SD5 Board Office. Please send cheques and or money. The school may choose to collect all fees and then submit one cheque, payable to "East Kootenay Regional Science Fair."
