The East Kootenay Regional Science Fair is now calling for teacher sponsors in schools from School Districts 5 and 6 to act as liaisons between the school and the fair. The sponsor teacher would receive monthly bulletins regarding the science fair and fun and interesting science events and activities happening in the East Kootenays. More importantly, the sponsor would also have access to us - your committee. We are here to help you help your students! We can provide in-class demonstrations and project mentoring. We can also link your students with practicing scientists in the region or get them access to much needed lab equipment. We are only a click away! The Alumni Mentorship Program (AMP)s Program has gone provincial! Now all students in BC have access to this program which pairs them with either a practicing scientist and/or science fair alumnus so that our students can gain skills, know-how, and confidence in their project-based science work. Applications are due by October. Please visit this website and Application below for more information!
