Friends of the Fair

A new program by the East Kootenay Regional Science Fair Committee which recognizes community donations and contributions to our event. Businesses, Science Industries, and Community Individuals are all integral to the success of our event and we graciously accept their support and contributions. There are 3 ways in which organizations and individuals can become a Friend of the Fair:

Adopt a Scientist

Sending Students to the Canada-Wide Science Fair is the pinnacle of the Science Fair Season in the Kootenays. Each year, we send 4 students to the Canada-Wide Science Fair. This year, the CWSF will be held in Peterborough, ON. For each student, the EKRSF Committee pays $1500 to offer these students the chance of a lifetime to explore their Scientific Potential, Connect with other youth across the country, and represent the East Kootenays to the nation. We need your help to make these opportuntities and scholarships possible. Donations are accepted towards:

Industry Exhibits

Local Science Industries or Businesses are invited to present an exhibit at the EKRSF 2010. The purpose of this program is to showcase the science that is going on in our own back yard. Exhibits should be hands-on and/or interactive as both youth and general public will be attending this event. There is no charge to present an exhibit but space is limited. Contact Ann Rice at ann@ekrsf.ca or call 250-489-8270 to reserve your spot today!

In-Kind Contributions

There are several general expenses that the EKRSF Committee incurs through putting on this event. From marketing/printing costs, to t-shirt costs, and medals/trophies, this event budget quickly adds up. Each year, thanks to the support of individuals and organizations such as yourself, this event continues to succeed and grow despite these costs. We welcome any contribution you can make to assist us in offsetting the costs of putting on this event.

 

Cheques can be made out to 'East Kootenay Regional Science Fair' and can either be dropped off at any College of the Rockies Campus ATTN: EK Regional Science Fair.
